Spinee - Pretty Green EP
spinee burst onto the scene with her infamous logo magazine mix "64 thousand dollar bombs" and an excellent remix of evanescence's debut single "bring me to life", and now the half-dog-half-woman is back with a new ep for pc music! featuring two originals that blast evergreen trance pop like there's five minutes til the new year, both "pretty green" and "man eaten by dog" (ha!) are keepers. spinee recently signed onto pc music, being featured on the hallowe'en mix, and considering the banner year the label has been having after recently being crowned "label of the year", this is just another gem to add to their lineup of sparklers. also, there's an anamanaguchi remix there! awesome they're collaborating officially!
you can download the pretty green ep here.

Finn Diesel - Dirty Pop Mix
one of finn diesel's trademark samples is of an effeminate clubber wondering who finn diesel is, exactly, and remarking that something is "so finn diesel" (along with mocking his admittedly terrible moniker). he brings up a good point, though, in regards to what constitutes something as being "so finn diesel". he hasn't done much to peer from under the shadows of his dis magazine and pc music kin, and outside of "penthouse suite", it's difficult to discern what is and isn't finn diesel. to quell those questions, finn recently dropped a brand new, 40-minute mix named "dirty pop" after the *nsync remix halfway in, and of nearly everything he's put out so far, i have to say this may be at the top, if not my personal favourite. it's a free download, and has some killer remixes (especially towards the end!) now THIS is so finn diesel!

FROSTY MIX 10: JACK댄스
oh simon. the next raging mix from frosty is a red-hot 20 minute grime rave-up from jack댄스 and ma-aaa-nn, is it incredible. jack댄스 has been hosting a radio show on nts radio every few weeks, but nowhere in them has he demonstrated this natural talent for mashups! in true frosty fashion, the mix prominently features grime, but this time jack댄스 kicks it up a notch by pitting the grime acapellas against staples of his live shows, with rather magical results. the way the tracks lead one into the next, and the choice of songs both show serious grit, which is nothing out of the ordinary for jack댄스, being the sexy beast he is. keep up the good work, man, and try to do this more often in the show!

MIXBLOG MIX 001
now for something completely different! this is the first official mixblog mix, hosted by 8tracks, that i will make for the express purpose of posting it here. featuring a couple of hannah diamond tracks, the official release of life sim's "bugatti" remix, and many more, this mix compiles both recent soundcloud hits and other rarities that people rarely (ha) look twice at. in the latter category there's an obscure a. g. cook remix, and in the former, the newest release from manicure records' very own supergroup fiji, whose "fave hours" ranks highly amongst the biggest bangers of the year, full stop. get turnt, ladies and gentlemen!

Hannah Diamond - Every Night
hannah diamond is easily pc music's most bankable star, so it's not surprising that the first single from the label you can buy is from her. titled "every night", it takes everything catchy and utterly amazing from previous ultra-hit "hey qt", with its giggling samples, and giddy synthesizers, and turns it up to 11, fusing both hannah's adorable little voice with touch ups and little flourishes that make me smile. this is the best pc music song in a long time, and please - if you're reading this a. g. - RELEASE AN ALBUM WE CAN BUY! i would pay full price!
"every night" can be purchased on itunes.

Kero Kero Bonito - Build It Up
a new-ish trend with internet pop music is the tearing down of cultural, lingual, and social walls, and labels like maltine record facilitate this exciting development. kero kero bonito, and other artists like bo en, lead the pack, with their songs condensing the japanese fetish for warped sounds and a mixture of japanese and english vocals. after the success of both their intro bonito debut and bonito recycling ep, kero kero bonito are on a creative roll, and their newest single "build it up" may very well be their best song yet. the quirky, percussive samples, half-english-half-japanese, and vaguely pc music influences are all here in spades, and it's dangerously catchy.

Finn - Bubble Tea Mix
how many excellent mixes has logo magazine curated so far? well, there's the still splendid "64 thousand dollar bombs" from half-dog, half-girl producer spinee, the "vertical xl" mix from kingdom, and... uh... i think there's maybe an older a. g. cook mix in there somewhere. well, now mysterious british producer finn can join these exclusive ranks with his new "bubble tea" mix! it's always exciting to see a new logo mix, because 1) they tend to be high quality, and 2) they are rare. like its namesake, the "bubble tea mix" is sweet, flavourful, and difficult to discern what it's made of. the mix hops between genres, kicking around revamped trap, slinky r&b cuts, and disorientating, buzzy instrumentals, finding comfort in the least recognizable reference points for his schizophrenic electronic daydreams.
