kitty pryde - SORRY, i mean just kitty - has been riding a wave of goodwill ever since she first came on the scene with her underwhelming rhymes and flaccid beats, possibly due to her ironic appeal to basic bitches. twerking enigma chippy nonstop, along with producer pat lukens, have rejuvenated kitty's appeal to me with this stuck-somewhere-between-jpop-and-k-pop "kawaii" homage "me + you" (if i were to be honest, "brb" did something for me as well, and it's not just because of its tumblr-bait nude dancing) and even if kitty's debut album flowerviolence never releases proper, she should continue collaborating with producers and artists that facilitate this type of intoxicating culture clash. a swift turn towards the cute never hurt anyone.
