Felicita - Frenemies EP

one of the less publicized auxiliary members of the pc music gang felicita, aka dominik dvorak, whose polyrhythmic, abstract, deconstructionist take on the trademark sound helped carve him out a niche within an already niche-centric subgenre, just unleashed the frenemies ep, his official debut under the brand-spankin'-new label gum artefacts. frenemies is such an apt title, as felicita's subject matter explores the uncanny vapidness of valley-girl culture, and harshly contrasts it against his broken, half-finished instrumentals. the effect is disorienting to put it lightly, but intoxicating nonetheless. it's no wonder "wannabe" is often rumoured to be by an alter-ego of felicita's, as they both share the same brand of snarky commentary paired up with scattered, jagged production. frenemies is available on itunes (and other sites), and i would strongly recommend a purchase to support these wonderful people.
