don't bother looking around for info on ponibbi. his soundcloud is pretty bare besides a few reposts of parent label manicure records tracks. now, considering the shocking revelation of how little was changed with lilangelboi's rendition of alli simpson's "guilty", i was skeptical that this shockingly well produced song was yet ANOTHER obscure pop song sped up, conforming with this nightcore epidemic and, big surprise, it is. it's a slightly speedier version of mattyb's "you make my heart skip". i have to give props where props is due that both ponibbi and lilangelboi both found great songs to speed up, but where is the effort?! come on guys! either way, it's a very enjoyable listen and clearly worth blogging about.
while i'm on the topic of manicure records, give a listen to their recent frosty mix. it's full of wonderful mashups from the likes of ghibli, jasmine, dj debussey turnpike, and personal favourite chipped nails (here's one of their best mixes). check it out, if only for that adorably catchy last part!
