manicure records label head ghibli (aka chipped nails) and new signee ponibbi have collaborated on a mash-up of various pop-tacular songs and produced a winner. "mile high" smashes together j-pop group f(x)'s "airplane love" and its various parts, reconfiguring it, speeding it up, and turning it into a euphoric rave juggernaut. i've been critical of manicure records' tendency to repackage obscure pop songs in a faster, nightcore way, labeling it a new song, and then calling it a day, but when they really put their heads together and the effort is there, great things can certainly come of it. the song is a free download, too, which is always appreciated. keep up the good work, fellas.
