new underground collective maxx plus (maybe affiliated with guy akimoto?) recently posted a damn comprehensive "this year in bubblegum bass" mix, and there's definitely some classics in here - "beautiful" by a. g. cook, a. g. cook alter-ego dj warlord's edit of life sim's "caladhort", the immortal "broken flowers" by danny l harle, and cook's huge, catchier-than-herpies "keri baby", which features fembot vocals by hannah diamond. along with said examples, there's plenty of additional material that's new to me too, and altogether, this can easily be a makeshift primer for those who really want to get into bubblegum bass/pc music. if you haven't heard these canonized classics yet, this is your best opportunity - you have no excuse not to!
