amdiscs just posted another "MIX4AMDISCS" featuring versatile japanese producer padillion, and i'm shocked to say the least. while i am indeed a fan of the net label, they have an unnecessary surplus of ambient, "chill trap" that predictably gets tiresome to hear over and over again, especially on their blog for rising talent, all, everyone, united. however, padillion is a genuinely capable producer, and despite dabbling in that sound from time to time, he also surprises with a knack for mixing it up. his amdiscs mix is a great demonstration of his abilities, as it runs the gamut from surreal, faded beats to lightly tropical, bouncy electronic pop. i loved it, personally.
you can grab the mix for free off the amdiscs site, although it's a downright shitty, slow site that made it frustratingly hard for me to get that mp3. maybe you'll have better luck than i did.
