モニカ·σníkαミックス (which reads: monika onika mikkusu) is a producer pop artist who has traded blows with the best on stage, including greats like danny l harle and kero kero bonito, and now she is beginning to step out of their shadows with stunners like "b♥f♥fs". much like the best pc music has to offer, the song plays around with convention in its plinking space pads and slow build, until it's firing on all cylinders as one of the catchiest things all week. the helium-laced sing-talking comes in as it gains momentum, revealing that this naively named song is actually an adorable rebuff of a boy's advances, as the girl's voice admits she doesn't want to be with him "in that way". it ends on a sweet note, though, with "hey you/thanks for being so cool/and so sweet to me/you're the best/the best ever/we're bffs/you know?/forever." i'd treasure a friend so honest, even if she did friendzone me in the end.
