superweirdos yola fatoush stopped by tank magazine late last week to both drop off a mix and have a little chat. while the interview is full of gold as is, the real gem is the mix, which features everything from edits of pop songs to obscure b-sides by prominent producers like dj paypal. radio tank mixes are usually of far higher quality than most, so savour this one for sure.
also worth checking out is yola fatoush's recent single "glow", which may or may not be from an upcoming release. it's a fabulous track that makes an honest effort to be as crowdpleasing as humanly possible, with them taking a page from revered visionaries like kelly clarkson and trying their hand at straightforward pop, all while remaining true to their hilariously quirky style. choice lines: "i felt that something shitting/inside my heart" then "is this thing real/is or this madness?" why can't it be both?
